Director of Airports in Andalusia visit the ATLAS Center construction
The director of Airports of the Andalusian Goberment, Rosa Nieto, has recently visited the construction of the ATLAS Flight Test Center, which is in its final phase. The director was accompanied by the director of ATLAS, Anastasio Sánchez, and during his visit she could check the advanced stage of the works, to be completed with the equipment and immediate start-up in early 2014.

The Airports Division, which is part of the Public Agency Ports of Andalusia, and is under the Regional Ministry of Public Works and Housing, manages the regulatory environment which in the near future could the effective transfer of powers provided for aeronautical the current regional setting, directly or indirectly going to manage those airport facilities that the law provides.

Based on this work in progress, and taking advantage of the visit, FADA and the Regional Airports Direction have established a framework for mutual cooperation in various areas related to this field, such as legislation, jurisdiction over aerodromes regional interest, operations of manned aircraft and unmanned aircraft, and effective use of existing facilities. Both entities agreed actions to continue work for the future mutual interaction.
